Promoting Physical Health and Well Being through Pilates Training
pilatesworks is a full service studio, teaching the body-mind exercise system developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th Century. Combining smoothly controlled movements with concentration and breathing on state-of-the-art equipment, props, mats and Barre, pilatesworks provides an exercise program that helps to develop a body that looks great, feels invigorated and moves with ease. pilatesworks adds pleasure to the fitness experience by providing a comfortable, contemporary environment.
The formally trained instructors of pilatesworks teach Pilates for whole-body fitness. Following an initial Fitness Assessment during the first private session, the instructor designs a training program crafted for the specific physical needs and fitness goals and aspirations of the client. During a minimum of three private 55-minute sessions, the client will be introduced to the Pilates Principles of Fitness, basic Pilates exercises and the Pilates specialized equipment and props.
When the client demonstrates proficiency in the Pilates repertoire, he/she will be offered the opportunity to train in semi-private sessions, involving a maximum of six participants. These 55-minute sessions are led by formally trained instructors of pilatesworks, with individualized supervision to guarantee safe and effective workouts. All private and semi-private sessions are scheduled by appointment. pilatesworks offers Reformer classes, Mat classes, with and without props, and Pilates-on-the-Ball classes.
